Welcome to the cabin! I’m Jennie Woods, the artist behind the Hidden Cabin Creations.

I never imagined my passion for crafting and woodworking would blossom into a full time business, but I am so incredibly grateful for this amazing journey!

My story began in 2015, as a wife and a mother of 2 boys looking for a creative way to earn an income. I have always enjoyed crafting, sewing, and woodworking, and I was seeking a way to make that my job.

I started my shop with burlap wreaths, pinecone garland, and acorns that were hand selected from our woods. Then my shop grew when I made my first travel map. The first map was a birthday gift for a very close friend. She travels a lot and had once mentioned that she would love to have a map that she could use to mark all the places she had been for work, as well as use it for family vacations. The idea was born! I listed the map in my shop and as demand continued, I began creating handcrafted wooden signs.

As time went on, I realized how much joy I receive when I make something that is special and personal to the recipient. Having my customers choose the wording means so much to them! Perhaps they used their family name, or their established date, their child’s name, family motto, favorite song lyrics, wedding vows…whatever it may be, it has meaning and is personal. It is unique to each person, and I cannot tell you how much I enjoy making those pieces!

Creating with my hands is my number one priority. I love being a maker!
